This sideboard was designed by André Sornay in France circa 1955-60. It is made of solid mahogany with cherry veneer, sliding doors in ivory lacquered wood, and an interior in brown lacquered plywood. It has patinated brass screws and a fixing system using internal rods that allow for the piece to be easily mounted and dismantled (patented by Sornay).

An antique 18th century Chinese hardwood farmhouse cabinet originating from a grain store. These cabinets are also known as a ´Kang´. It originates fromcirca 1780s and features a long rectangular top over lacquered sections in green, red and black, with top loading lid section above a slide up door to release grain.
